Some of the guidelines for conducting CAT-3

1.       CAT-3 will be conducted at School level, Coordinated by Dean / School Exam Coordinator.

2.       CAT 3 will be activity based, targeted towards Creativity, Innovation and Critical Thinking.

3.       The Complete assessment will be activity based on CO-5 and CO-6

4.       Faculty can decide the activity and Rubrics, in line with the guidelines given below, in consultation with the Course Coordinator, Division Chair and get it approved by PC / Dean.

5.       Common Courses must share the Same Rubric and assessment pattern.

6.       Maximum Mark will be 30.

7.       Time duration can be fixed based on activity.

8.       Group activities can also be given, with Maximum 3 students in a group and Same Problem / Case Study can be given to 3  Groups

9.       Solutions for the Problems must be unique and report must be minimum of 6 pages and maximum up-to 10 Pages, including Diagrams, Algorithm, Interpretation of Results, Review of Literature etc

10.   The Report (PDF, PPT, Docx) must be screened through itenticate and plagiarism must be less than 10%

11.   Few suggestions for CAT-3 activities are (Recommended but not limited to)

o   Open ended Problems

o   Case Study

o   Simulations

o   Research papers

o   Lab work

o   Reflections

o   Problem-based activities

o   Role Play

o   Report / essay / Blog

o   Field experience/report

o   Group assignments

o   Any other relevant tools as appropriate, and approved by School Dean

•         Assessment must be taken through MS Teams presentation.

Students should be accessed based on (Blended Mode)

1.       Ability to understand, Summarize problem, question, or issue

2.       Ability to consider context and assumptions

3.       Ability to analyze supporting data and evidence

4.       Ability to provide alternate Solution / perspectives

5.       Ability to provide conclusions, implications, and consequences for the problem

6.       Effective Communication (Verbal, Written)

Assessment must be based on

•         Accuracy of the Solution provided

•         Innovation

•         Completeness

•         Number of Case Studies, Similar solutions reviewed

•         Supported with research on existing literature, authentic published material (Books, Whitepapers, Research Articles, Recent Publications)

•         Range of answer

•         Description and support
